Description
Found this old picture of an old MX rider and had to paint it, the gear and the pose, it was too good to pass up. Let me explain some things. Most guys didn't have very fancy riding gear, so to protect the lenses in their goggles some would wrap them in a sheer cloth to keep them from getting scratched by dirt and mud, and also to keep the sun's glare from affecting their riding. Full face covering helmets were also something harder to come by with dirt riders in mind, so a lot of riders would cover their nose and mouth with various materials. In this rider's case, he fashioned himself a face mask out of leather with a cutout for his nose. Pretty cool the way people used to get around solely on ingenuity
